This role has direct responsibility but is not limited to; planning and directing all aspects the organization's supply chain including policies, objectives, and initiatives. The position establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the service line and demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This role has direct oversight and management of the organization's purchasing, supply and service contracting, inventory, forms and document management, warehousing, supply distribution, value analysis and vendor management functions and personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Plans and directs all aspects the organization's supply chain including policies, objectives, and initiatives.
2. Direct oversight and management of the organization's purchasing, supply and service contracting, inventory, forms and document management, warehousing, supply distribution, value analysis and vendor management personnel.
3. Overseas the contract and bidding process in accordance with company policies, standards and applicable laws and regulations.
4. Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
5. Execute all non-wage expense contracts with applicable funding approval per company authority matrix.
6. Serves as the liaison and point of contact with legal services, vendors and internal departments.
7. Prepares and/or reviews contract documents with a working knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.
8. Leads and educates multidisciplinary teams through the contract, bidding and vendor management processes.
9. Maintains proficiency and understanding of the healthcare industry/marketplace and uses this knowledge to develop strategies for continuous improvement, cost savings and vendor performance management opportunities.
10. Identifies cost savings by surveying the market place, analyzing market trends, and through standardization and utilization of products and services across the network.
11. Securing measurable and/or controllable savings through progressive vendor management, contract negotiations, product management, standardization and utilization of services and products in conjunction with HNL Clinical and Administrative staff.
12. Documents and verifies all savings in the departmental savings tracking report and plans and strategies for an annual savings target and works diligently throughout the year to reach and/or exceed that goal.
13. Interacts with all levels of staff, including executive management, on the progress and outcomes of the contract negotiations.
14. Coordinates and manages multiple projects and prioritizes workload.
15. Inventory management, including setting PAR values, coordination of quarterly and annual physical counts.
16. Making recommendations on process improvements and utilization of technology, including Workday.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or eight plus years of progressive healthcare Supply Chain related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Workday and SCM modules, or similar ERP's highly preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office platform and an understanding of Materials Management Information Systems.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must have or be willing to obtain Professional Certification from an industry leading organization.
