Job Description

Director, National Accounts

Developing and communicating the National or Regional Account Strategic Plans for assigned national / regional Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) as assigned by group leader

Principal Responsibilities: 

Negotiating, developing, communicating and renewing profitable contracts with assigned national IDNsDeveloping and implementation of comprehensive contract rollout plans to insure complianceProviding strategic direction for the field sales organization, which leads to increased compliance, market share and profitsCommunicating on IDN contracts, key target shareholder accounts, including periodic updates on status and directionAdministration of contract documents, membership lists, extensions, amendments, and any special communications as it relates to IDN contractsPromoting availability as a resource on all aspects of IDN contract negotiation and implementationTargeting and converting key targeted acute care hospitals, IDN & shareholder opportunitiesWorking with assigned IDNs and shareholders to sell and implement value-added programsWorking with the Field Sales Team in order to facilitate contract implementation.
 

Skills and Experiences:

Develop relationships with national / regional IDNs and assigned Strategic Account SystemsNegotiate / sell deals and programs to assigned accountsDevelop and implement strategies / tactics for business retention and profitable growth within assigned national accounts and geographyDevelop and present reports, business reviews, and analysis for the national accounts / field sales team, customers and targetsDevelopment of strategy and tactics to convert target accounts. Review opportunity plans of target accounts with leadershipTraining and development of field sales representativesDevelopment and implementation of national / regional IDNs and key shareholder / system strategy and tactics
Qualifications
At least 3 years of sales management and additional GPO/IDN experience in health careExperience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:Experience in National Account Strategic PlansExperience with business strategy and key drivers for effective training programsExperience with health care industry salesExperience with negotiating Physician Preference Items (PPI) contractsDemonstrated track record of sales successDemonstrated management, coaching and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated presentation and communication skillsAbility to understand and communicate economic and clinical informationAbility to develop and maintain senior account relationshipsAbility to work cross-functionally to achieve business goalsAbility to help set goals and strategic objectives, then balance short-term goals with a strategic visionAbility to travel 50-75%Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationshipsAt least 3 years’ experience in medical device sales with GPO/IDN responsibilityAt least 10 years of sales experience

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
