Director - National Elite Practice Sales
Description Apply Now Open sharing options Save Saved Share The RiverSource Dir-National Elite Practice Sales is a sales professional with strong leadership and relationship building skills, product knowledge and sales experience.

They will engage large practices where advisor practices may span multiple territories and will be responsible for implementing end-to-end execution of an insurance sales process. Includes case identification, development, meeting preparation, conducting POS, submitting new business, tracking and placing new business, and servicing policies.

Key Responsibilities

60% of this roles is Case development: drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening the use of protection solutions using a consultative quality sales process over the phone with some in-person travel. Use a suite of digital tools to create illustrations that support recommendations that come out of consultative sales conversations with advisors. 25% of this roles is Leadership: develop engagement plans for large AFG practices (where advisors span multiple territories), AFIG institutions and AAG branches to drive the scalable implementation of appropriate protection solutions for clients. Lead senior manager of insurance process development. Lead the relationship management between lead advisors, practice support staff, RVS wholesalers, and potentially field leaders and franchise consultants. Travel within territory to manage key partner relationships10% of this roles is Administrative: supporting corporate initiatives by maintaining knowledge base about key Ameriprise initiatives and assisting in their execution. Manage and develop systems to create efficiencies (scheduling/rotations, meeting preparation & follow-up, recognizing advisor sales, budget management, etc.). Prioritize and manage daily, weekly, and monthly workload.5% of this roles will complete required coursework in order to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experienceActive Series 6,Active Series 63Upon hire obtain Territory Insurance Licenses (Health, Life & Variable).7-10 years relevant experience (with minimum 7 years of life insurance industry sales experience). History of partnering with financial professionals to drive sales. Experience working with consultative sales process.Demonstrated ability to integrate life products into comprehensive financial plan.Expertise in risk management, financial planning, estate planning, business markets and case development.Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly with advisors, clients, and field leaders. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and problem solving skills.Ability to travel up to 10 - 20%

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $60,000 / year + variable commission target. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
