THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The Director serves in a strategic leadership position managing a team of managers, leads, engineers, and architects that are primarily responsible for operating and optimizing Ulta networking landscape by enabling strategic initiatives around network solutions, improving efficiency, compliance, new network solutions and vendor management activities. The position will collaborate with all business units and leadership teams to drive network operations maturity and implement network transformation solutions, compliance controls across the organization. This role also provides leadership guidance in conducting network readiness assessments for the implementation of corporate IT Network Infrastructure. YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS BY: Innovation: Manages, monitors, and seeks, opportunities, new methods, trends, capabilities, and products to the advancement of the organization. Champions potential strategic application of information technology capabilities. Relationship Management: Champions the strategy to understand stakeholder objectives and requirements. Works with all interested parties to ensure effective relationships between stakeholders, including responsibility for the relationship between technology functions and end users. Leads relationship management with the most senior stakeholders, and is the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution. Information Strategy: Direct the development, implementation, delivery, and support of an enterprise information network strategy aligned to the strategic requirements of the business. Ensure alignment between business strategies and network solutions and leads the provision of information engineering resource expertise, guidance, and systems necessary to execute strategic and operational plans across all the organization’s information systems. Business Benefit Management: Advises on significant enterprise level improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying, proposing, influencing, and leading significant programs of improvement. Champions a culture of continuous improvement. Advises senior leaders on enterprise risks associated to security for new applications and ways to remediate the risk to a level acceptable for the business. Business Risk Management: Sets strategy for addressing enterprise networking risks arising from business operations and leading change that require the creation or review of an IT process to meet the business objectives. Leads resources to implement the strategy, and delegates authority for detailed planning and execution of connectivity management activities. Develops, communicates, implements, and reviews the processes which ensure that the strategic management of IT is embedded in the management and operational plans of the organization. Information Management: Advises at a strategic level the business functions and data subjects needed to support future business and digital services. Ensure compliance with regulations, standards to connectivity, data privacy & data protection. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, results-based team environment. Develop & execute IT Infrastructure Plan - Network budget for corporate assets including regional distribution centers and stores. Collaborate with IT Services Team to identify opportunities to improve overall cost effectiveness of our expense budget strategy for the organization. Develop and execute 3-year strategy roadmaps outlining the technologies and investments in infrastructure to ensure security and network systems are meeting established service level agreements while staying consistent with industry best practices. Engage proactively with key stakeholders and partners outside of IT to understand technology direction and align capabilities accordingly. Manage and mentor team of IT resources. Responsibilities include performance evaluations, career development, compensation planning, mentoring & succession planning. Enhance system monitoring performance, provide capacity planning, automate processes, perform refreshes/upgrades, and provide operational and technical support. Collaborates with leaders, defines architecture by analyzing information requirements; determines systems architecture components and technologies; studies business capabilities; develops points of views on emerging technologies and evaluates their applicability to business goals and operational requirements. Manage and create project plans for near-term projects including a large-scale Network migration, Cloud implementation, upgrade of existing network and security capabilities, and the refresh of the existing network and security equipment. Contribute to release management, change control, incident and problem management for the enterprise network and support functions. Contribute to the development, ongoing maintenance, and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Enable cloud connectivity strategy; to monitor and support network in cloud environments. THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or applicable work experience. 9+ years of progressive IT engineering experience supporting large scale enterprise network and security infrastructure solutions. 9+ years of management experience. 9+ years designing enterprise network and data center solutions. 9+ years’ advanced experience with monitoring tools, network topologies, and load balancing. Expert understanding of network protocols and routing/switching. Expert knowledge of Network access methods including T1, DS3, OC3, Ethernet, and Wireless Manage Network response to security audits and vulnerability and threat assessments related to the network. Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and performance analysis monitoring tools, and a history of using them for performance tuning and troubleshooting. Proven experience and ability to manage problem resolutions of complex or intermittent issues in a multi-vendor, integrated enterprise environment. Skilled and comfortable with tackling complex challenges, either in leading the troubleshooting effort or advising/leading others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization. Ability to present technical information to executive leadership. History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with both internal and external stakeholders. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Able to motivate others to drive desired results. Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions on time and on schedule. Minimal travel required (training/conferences/remote sites). The pay range for this position is $136,100.00 - $200,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
