Director Nursing - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus - Relocation Assistance Available
As a Nursing Director, you will lead medical services delivery within the division of Residential and Foster Care Services for Northern Rivers. This also includes oversight of nursing services provided in the agency schools and day treatment. You will oversee policy and protocol development and implementation for health service delivery, and will work with the Medical Director to ensure medical services are provided according to all applicable standards and regulations. You will report to the Chief Officer, Residential & Foster Care Services and you will work on the Albany campus with expectation of some visits to the Schenectady campus and community offices.
Responsibilities:
Maintain appropriate staffing levels for medical services including hiring, staff development and retention of staff. Oversee policy and protocol development and implementation for health service delivery for the division Review existing practices to find efficiencies and establish common protocols between programs when possible. Develop relationships with health providers, schools of nursing, and possible services that the agency will contract with for healthcare Maintain a strong working relationship with agency leadership including chiefs, directors, and central services. Oversee management of billing and managed care relationships relative to these health services. Oversee compliance of medical records with all applicable standards and implement recommendations of other quality improvement and regulatory bodies (i.e., COA, IOC, OCFS, SED, OMH, etc.) Participate as a member of multi-disciplinary teams with residential services, foster care and the education department in support of coordination of care of youth.Requirements and Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university 5 to 7 years of management or supervisory experience RN License in New York required. Must pass physical. Must be able to complete TCI training.Benefits
