You'll oversee the Property Accountants and the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and top-notch financial management.

You'll be the go-to problem solver and mentor for your team.Financial Excellence: Assist with tax returns, perform CAM reconciliations on complex commercial properties, and review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Budget Mastery: Participate in the completion of annual budgets, run budget reports, and assist accountants in preparing individual property budgets.Quality Control: Oversee the completion of monthly and annual property financial statements, ensuring accuracy and thorough review of variances.Comprehensive Oversight: Ensure the accurate completion of tasks such as 1099 forms, CAM billing, sales tax reports, and bank account reviews. Lead the development and analysis of key financial metrics.Security & Accuracy: Maintain process controls to safeguard property owner assets and ensure financial reporting accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field is required. CPA or MBA is preferred.Leadership Experience: Three or more years of leadership experience in managing teams.Accounting Expertise: A minimum of ten years of progressive accounting experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Excel) and ERP/Property Management software systems.Analytical Skills: Strong understanding and experience in managing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and cashflow analysis.Communication Skills: Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal skills to relate and address issues with a diverse group of people.Detail-Oriented: Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, manage time, and have an orientation toward details.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws and regulations concerning multi-family housing, Fair Housing, and team member safety.
