Description
We are in the search for a Director of Accounting to join our team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Solid base salary/bonus and benefits. Free parking.
The individual will be tasked with overseeing all financial and accounting activities within our organization. This role is vital to maintaining our financial systems and preparing regular reports, thereby ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial and accounting activities within the organization.
• Supervise the ongoing Accounting functions to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
• Prepare and review financial and operational reconciliations, ensuring all reports are accurate and timely.
• Develop and maintain formal accounting systems, ensuring all financial data is well-organized and accessible.
• Supervise the organization of accounting files, ensuring all financial documents are accurately filed and readily available when needed.
• Oversee the preparation of regular reports and reconciliations, including event settlement to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for.
• Prepare budget-related materials, providing detailed financial forecasts and budgets to aid in financial planning and decision-making.
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to track and analyze financial data.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and processed.
• Conduct regular Auditing of financial transactions and reports, ensuring all financial activities are compliant with financial regulations.
• Oversee Budget Processes, ensuring all budget plans are accurate and align with the organization's financial goals.
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required
• Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in handling Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Must have a strong background in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
• CPA or similar certification is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
