BASIC FUNCTION (BF1): The Director of Activities shall provide leadership, direction and execution for all areas within the school district that are connected to activities, athletics, and clubs. The Director of Activities will also be responsible for all facets of leadership and fostering growth of the vision culture through students, staff and program success. Thisposition requires continuous use of independent judgment.

ABILITIES (A1):
This position will require physical demands that include constant sitting, manual dexterity, lifting up to 25 pounds, carrying 35 feet, and working inside. There will be frequent walking, climbing/stairs, bending/stooping, driving, and extremes in temperature/humidity. There will be occasional reaching/pushing/pulling.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION (KE1-2 and KED1-3):
Required:
1. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of content
2. Appropriate endorsement through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
3. Coaching Endorsement/Authorization

Desired:
1. Advance degrees in educational leadership
2. Knowledge and experience in leading transformational culture change
3. Demonstrated and successful experience in educational and activities leadership
