Description:

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations, Director of Administrative Operations represents to the highest standards of St. Mary’s and Trinity Health Georgia within the local markets for Good Samaritan Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital respectively.  Works with CEO and SVP, Operations to develop business strategies and development plans for the respective local markets. Develops, implements, and evaluates initiatives consistent with the St. Mary’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plans. 

This position is responsible for daily operations in the facility. Working in a matrix environment with the regional department directors to achieve the operational and strategic goals for the facility. 

Advises senior leadership team on local market developments, changes, opportunities for new business models and new service line developments. Advises the medical group leadership on local market developments and opportunities. Advises the senior leadership team on local government policy changes in the local communities and how those changes impact the organization.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  No licensure required.

B.  Education:  Master of Health Administration, Business Administration, or health related field preferred.  Batchelor’s Degree required.

C.  Experience: Three to five years of healthcare leadership experience

D.  Special Qualifications:

Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skillsAttention to detail and mastered proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Awareness of changing environment of health care delivery locally as well as nationally. Experience with using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience with dealing with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization

III.       Essential Functions: 

Along with the local ACNO, represents the facility/organization within the community.The Director of Administrative Operations in partnership with the ACNO oversees the local management of the organizational strategic plan.Works with finance to develop local forecast targets and goals for revenue, expense, and labor management.Manages the facility in a manner to ensure the facility is able to achieve the financial targets monthly and annually.Will work with regional directors and local department managers to ensure the facility is achieving the productivity is maintained based on departmental and organizational targets.Position will oversee and assist the respective auxiliary groups as needed.Manages contracts and contractual relationships that are assigned.Works with ACNO in the development of patient experience goals, metrics and will ensure that the departments achieve patient experience expectations.In a team approach, works with the Regional Directors of Strategy and Marketing to develop and implement business development strategies and to promote those strategies and facilities in their respective local markets.Works with the Regional Director of Community Health and Well-Being on CHWB initiatives and strategies in the local markets.Serves on committees, councils and community organizations as appointed by the CEO and /or the SVP Operations. Serves as Administrator on Call in rotation with the senior leadership team.Adhere to Trinity Health’s service standards: welcome environment, empathetic communication, compassionate, patient-centered care, always keep it simple, respectful & ready, & everyone countsDemonstrates & actively promotes an understanding & commitment to the mission of Trinity Health through Trinity’s valuesMaintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, & local laws & regulations, the Trinity health organizational integrity program, including the standard of conduct, code of ethics, as well as other policies & procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, & professional behaviors.
