Director of Adult Transitional and Emergency Housing\n
\n

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the operational management of a diverse range of adult emergency and transitional housing facilities and individualized supports through our \"Hand of Friendship\". \n
\n

The Director of Adult Transitional and Emergency Housing must have a history of demonstrated dynamic leadership and possess the following Education and Experience:\n\nMaster's Degree in Social Work, Education, Political Science, History, Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, Health Sciences, or other comparable areas of study.\nA minimum of five (5) years experience in a leadership role in a comparable field, or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training will be considered.\nDemonstrated supervisory experience, at a management level.\nExtensive knowledge of Supportive Housing programs and services provided in urban Indigenous communities.\nPossess a proven and a thorough appreciation, awareness, working experience and sensitivity of Indigenous history and culture, and a thorough understanding of the complexities of working with diverse populations and vulnerable community members.\nProven experience in proposal writing, formal reports, reports on activities\/critical incidents, strategic work plans, goals and objectives. \nA sound understanding of nonprofit organizations, especially the Friendship Centre movement.\nAbility to develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, provincial and national partners of the PGNFC.\nProfessional communication proficiencies including presentation skills, writing ability, computer proficiency and authentic interpersonal skills.\nDemonstrated teamwork, leadership skills and visionary ability to inspire and empower others.\nDemonstrated ability to model professional, ethical and collaborative behaviours consistent with the position,\nIn-depth knowledge of the social service sector, community-based programs and services, funding sources, community, and board relations.\n\n
\n

Additional qualifications include a:\n\n Successfully complete Criminal Record Clearances, including Enhanced Security Clearance.\n Maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract.\n Be willing to work flexible hours including on call, evenings & weekends.\n\n
\n

Annual salary $108,000 - $112,000 with a comprehensive benefits and pension package.\n
