Director of Alliances
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred 7+ years of experience in strategic partnership management, business development, or a related field, with a strong focus on technology or IT services Proven track record in managing and growing high-level strategic alliances Deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services, including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and legacy Microsoft technologies Experience with the Microsoft Partner Ecosystem and Partner portal

Position Overview:  

We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Alliance Director responsible for managing and driving strategic partnerships between Datavail and Microsoft Corporation The position focuses on building, growing, and maintaining a productive relationship with Microsoft, with an emphasis on sales, marketing, and business development The role requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and an in-depth understanding of Microsoft’s products, services, solutions and ecosystem An understanding of Guidewire is a plus as Datavail has a unique Azure focused solution for Guidewire customers  

Key Responsibilities:  

Strategic Partnership Management  Lead and manage the overall relationship with Microsoft, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term strategic goals Develop, drive, and execute the joint business plan between your organization and Microsoft, focusing on creating mutual value and growth Cultivate a strong relationship with key stakeholders within Microsoft, including executives, product managers, and technical teams Build on our unique Guidewire solution by developing a 3 prong go-to-market motion with Datavail/Guidewire/Microsoft

Business Development:  
 

Work closely with the sales teams to identify opportunities for collaboration, and leverage Microsoft’s products and solutions to drive revenue Help define and execute go-to-market strategies and sales enablement programs with Microsoft for joint customer acquisitions Monitor sales performance, ensuring that targets and goals are met, and address any issues hindering progress Engage with Guidewire sellers to promote solution  

Program Management:  
 

Oversee the administration of Microsoft partnership programs, including certifications, incentives, and benefits Ensure effective utilization of Microsoft resources to maximize partnership value and support business objectives  

 Performance Monitoring:  

Develop metrics and KPIs to track the success of the partnership, including sales performance, market impact, and influenced revenue Prepare and present regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Market and Technical Expertise: 

Stay current with Microsoft’s product updates, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.  o Provide strategic insights on technology integration, market positioning, and competitive strategy

Client and Industry Engagement:  

Represent Datavail at industry events, conferences, Microsoft-sponsored activities and Guidewire/Insurance conferences Support the direct sales team with engagement with clients and industry influencers to promote the benefits of the Microsoft partnership Buildout opportunities to promote Datavail’s Guidewire solution

Compliance and Governance: 

Ensure adherence to Microsoft’s partnership guidelines and contractual obligations Address and resolve any issues or risks related to the partnership
