TITLE: Director of Business Continuity 

LOCATION: Preference is in Florida but open to other locations

Summary

We are seeking a proficient and accomplished Director of Business Continuity to join our Technology team.  This role will be based out of any of our Florida offices.  The director of business continuity develops, plans, executes, and tests the resiliency of business services. This is a leadership role that requires a broad understanding of both technical solutions and business functions. The person in this role must understand business goals, strategy, and operational requirements in a fast-paced environment. The role acts as a liaison to business stakeholders to understand their strategy and execution outlook. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience managing a business continuity program for a medium to large enterprise. The successful candidate will have proven success in maintaining business operations during periods of service disruption in Salesforce and Microsoft ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for business continuity Protect business services according to defined recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives Secure senior leadership support and funding for the business continuity program Periodically report the state of resiliency capabilities to stakeholders Maintain plans, documentation, and registers for the program Work with stakeholders to define benchmarks and metrics Review third-party obligations for resiliency Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Excellence in communicating business risk to executives and technical professionals Ability to translate complex technical concepts into executive-level language Embody trust, dignity, integrity and accountability Expertise in performing business impact analysis Self-motivated, ambitious, and action-oriented Driven to learn, experiment, and fail forward Experience inspiring and coaching others

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing controls from frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NIST 800-34 Active membership in a business continuity professional organization (BCI, DRII, etc.) Current business continuity certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) Practical experience with Agile project management Prior leadership or management experience
