The Director of Business Development will be responsible for generating new business representing Zonda data services including an online platform. In addition, this individual will work collaboratively with the Regional Account Manager to drive the brand in the local markets by becoming an active participant in the building products industry. Knowledge of building product manufactures, home builders and residential real estate industry players, key projects/developments within the industry is highly valued but not required.

 

Responsibilities:

Generate new business selling Zonda data services to building product manufacturesDevelop and execute on a sales plan for the territoryMeet assigned sales activity metrics, generate new prospect meetings each week and maintain all meeting & pipeline information in SalesforceGenerate qualifying leads and drive the full sales cycle from introductory calls to closing dealsSchedule and perform in person and virtual demonstrationsEmbrace new technology, and have strong proficiency with multiple technology platformsTravel as necessary within your territory & attend occasional industry events

 

Requirements:

Experience:

5+ years of experience in a related data services business development/outside sales rolePrevious experience in a SaaS environment with focus on user acquisitionExperience and desire to manage the entire sales process which includes prospecting, needs analysis, and closing; drive to acquire new business will be key 

Skills:

Success in this role will call for a hunter mentality, a quick learner, independent mindset, and high energyStrong prospecting, presentation, and closing skillsProficiency using Salesforce (or other CRM platform) is requiredAbility to learn and develop proficiency in new skills quicklyGoal‐oriented sales approach; be able to provide a proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual goalsAbility to thrive in an environment that changesAbility to travel occasionally within defined sales territory

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably specializing in business, management, or a similar field of study.
