Purpose:  

As the Director of Business Development and CPG Licensing, you’ll have the opportunity to join what is the beginning Edible’s brand evolution and strategic growth from our new brand identity, stunning new storefronts, emerging new brands and now CPG growth!  

 

We’re looking for a visionary, entrepreneurial leader ready to surprise & delight Edible customers by spearheading a brand-new line of Edible products to be sold in major grocery stores and retailers around the US.  

 

As an individual contributor initially, you will strategically and tactically develop, execute and drive growth of new product lines from conception to commercialization.  

 

Location: This position will work onsite out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA. 

 

What that looks like day to day:  

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for launching Edible branded products into grocery stores and other retail channels.Product Development: Own and manage the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, including innovation, packaging, pricing, and promotion strategies.Business Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage licensing opportunities with potential partners, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.Sales and Marketing: In collaboration with the Edible Marketing team, develop and execute strategies to drive product awareness and sales, monitoring sales performance and adjusting strategies to meet revenue targets as needed.Operational Management: Establish and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for product development and commercialization, ensuring efficient project management to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products.

Requirements:  

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.5+ years of experience in product development, licensing, and commercialization within the consumer goods industry. Bakery, frozen foods and confectionery categories highly preferredProven experience successfully developing, and executing comprehensive strategies for market entry and growth within grocery and big-box retail channels

Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate and secure licensing deals with manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.Project Management: Strong project management skills to establish and manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.Financial Acumen: Understanding of budget management and financial planning to support product development and commercialization.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and partnership development.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends, sales data, and performance metrics. Strong strategic thinking, business development, and negotiation skills.
