Essential Duties
The Director of Business Solutions is a senior new business lead position that facilitates the entirety of the global sales process, from sales qualified leads to approved scope. This role will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, following up on leads, and nurturing warm contacts to secure business for APR Consulting. The Director of Business Solutions will work closely with clients to define their business cases and demonstrate how APR Consulting can add significant value to their marketing operations.
This position’s essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
Lead Generation and Follow-up: Proactively follow up on leads and warm contacts, ensuring consistent engagement to convert them into business opportunities. Client Engagement: Engage with CMIOs and other stakeholders within clients' marketing organizations, building strong relationships and understanding their unique needs. Business Case Development: Collaborate with clients to define their business cases for integrating APR Consulting into their operations, highlighting the enterprise value we can deliver. Industry Networking: Attend industry conferences and networking events to identify potential clients and stay updated on industry trends and opportunities. Proposal Development: Develop compelling packaging and pricing strategies using value-based and outcome-based approaches to craft winning proposals. Client Experience: Ensure clients feel supported and valued throughout the business development process, fostering long-term partnerships.Key Responsibilities
Responsible for vetting and running any RFPs, including assessment of any opportunities via our updated requirements list (value to APR and client assessment). Run initial client convos through to proposal writing, negotiations (aligned to RACI), and landing the final scope and fee. Partner with our Services team to leverage and optimize the appropriate Services, Products and Programs that support the recommended client solution. Partner with the Group Directors (GD) to amplify client models and/or stories that support the transition to a new client. The GD they partner with will then receive that client within their portfolio. Effectively communicate value propositions through proposals and presentations. Skilled at storytelling and crafting stories through PowerPoint. Partner with Ops/Finance/Client Solutions to ensure proper vetting of all pricing and associated resources/roles allocated to the work. Responsible for providing feedback to the marketing and services organization as they move leads through the sales process. Collaborate with peers on the marketing team to ensure alignment on campaigns and lead generation efforts. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the advertising industry’s specific trends and landscapes Provide leadership to the team and internal partners involved in the sales process. Mentor and train team members to enhance their sales skills and foster a high-performance culture. Acts as company representative at industry conferences and events. Provides regular reports on sales performance and market trends to senior management. Leverages data from our CRM and client engagements to segment our audiences for outreach and content development.Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the marketing or consulting industries. 3+ years in the Advertising industry; production experience is preferred. In-depth understanding of marketing operations and the challenges faced by marketing organizations. Experience working in a high-growth, performance-focused environment.WHY JOIN APR?
