Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Director of Capital Markets and Funding will support Equitable’s (EQH) debt and equity capital markets activities and contingent liquidity facilities, in addition to the insurance subsidiaries spread lending portfolio – including the FHLB, FABN and securities lending programs. This role is highly visible and instrumental in maintaining EQH’s financial flexibility and improving the risk-adjusted earnings ability of the underlying insurance businesses.
Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute solutions to optimize the company’s capital structure and contingent liquidity facilitiesConduct debt/equity capital raising projects (senior, hybrid, preferred, equity issuance), evaluating market opportunities and taking into consideration investors’ expectations, peer practices, rating agency treatment and balance sheet impactGrow and optimize the Company’s spread lending program – including FHLB, FABN, repo and securities lendingRecommend and implement capital return strategies, including dividend and share buybacksHelp manage relationships with 20 US and global banksCoach and develop junior members of the Capital Markets teamIn office schedule: This role will be working in office 2-3 days per week
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000.Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Bachelors Degree5 years of corporate finance or capital markets experience at financial institutionsKnowledge of and experience with capital markets instruments and derivativesWorking knowledge of US statutory accounting, reserving, and RBC rules, particularly for variable annuities preferredAbility to develop cross-functional relationships to build cohesive and collaborative teams, acting as strategic driver and manager of key strategic initiativesProject management experience with the ability to demonstrate leadership in the sponsorship and execution of multiple, concurrent and complex business initiativesExecutive presence required to present to senior management and various committee formPreferred Qualifications:
