Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to oversee the Career Solutions Regional, Connecting Forward Program Manager, Career Solutions Recruiter and the Career Solutions Administrative Assistant. This position ensures the served; placement and retention goals are met each month. Directs the activities of the centers through the Regional Managers, engages with employers and community partners and oversees the marketing of services. Ensures the verification of results and the quality of the case records. Also oversees the Connecting Forward program as well as recruiting for Career Solutions which includes GCTA and other aspects of Career Solutions.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Directs the staff to ensure that the needs of the clients and the professional needs of the staff are met.Provides clear direction to the Career Solutions Regional Managers, Career Solutions Recruiter,  Connecting Forward Program Manager and the Career Solutions Administrative Assistant.Works through staff to develop new services/programs to continually meet community and client needs.Responsible for recruitment, hiring and release of Career Solutions Regional Managers and another staff as needed.Provides guidance to Career Solution managers with regard to supplies, advertising, budget, maintenance, furniture/equipment, computer programs, employee relations, expenses, mileage claims, attendance, corrective action, performance reviews, etc.Represents and promotes Goodwill Industries in the community with a broad spectrum of organizations and individuals to include services providers, government agencies, educational institutions, employers, community leaders, community associations and potential clients.Recommends new ways to conduct business at the centers to improve efficiency and reduce cost.Works with the Career Solution managers to meet and exceed their goals.Works with Career Solutions leadership to open new centers in new communities.Works with Marketing to ensure each center has and follows the marketing plan.Oversees grant programs as assigned.Knowledgeable of and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times, including CARF.Demonstrates regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, rehabilitation administration, human resources or related field is required.

Experience

MInimum of 7 years' experience as a Manager in Workface Development.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a multi-location or multi-program management.Training experience in a Corporate environment.

Knowledge and Skills

Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office or equivalent and have the ability to learn new software.Ability to market Goodwill services to employers, referral sources and potential clients.Demonstrated knowledge of vocational rehabilitation philosophies, procedures and practice.Demonstrated, strong management skills, prior supervision, budgeting.Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Able to earn and retain the respect and confidence of staff, president, and members of the community.Able to make effective decisions.Able to coordinate and schedule multiple activities, projects and work schedules.Able to learn new processes quickly and possess strong organizational skills.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong time-management skills and must be able to pay attention to detail.Able to establish and maintain contacts in the community.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License

Master’s degree in Management, Human Resources or related fields is preferred.
