Director of Category Management
Noble Corporation is hiring for a Director of Category Management that will be working a hybrid work schedule out of our corporate office in Houston. The Director of Category Management provides leadership to a team of category management and strategic sourcing professionals as well as contract management and Capex Procurement Professionals. The team is split in Indirect and Direct Category Management as well as Capex Procurement. This position has the responsibility for the development and execution of the category management and strategic sourcing strategies for Noble’s global spend. This role includes oversight of supplier relationship management, sourcing events, contracts management, supplier risk management, innovation, and supplier performance. This position works collaboratively across the organization maximize the value of Noble’s spend, align the sourcing strategies with company goals, and ensure transparent and ethical sourcing practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead the development and continuous improvement of the comprehensive sourcing and category management strategies globally to leverage Noble’s spend in the marketplace to capture best value and minimize risks.Lead a global team of plus 25 head counts divided into 4 teams where part of the team will be based in Gdansk, Poland and part of the team in Houston, Texas. Travel to be expected.Collaborates with executives to establish short-term and long-term business objectives and KPI’s across Noble’s spend.Proactive involvement and recommendations in determining category strategies for key spend categories and market/customer driven requirements.Provide leadership in ethical sourcing practices in accordance with Noble’s global policies and industry standards.Identifies sourcing opportunities by leveraging spend analysis and engaging with stakeholders for opportunities to consolidate spend, reduce costs, improve service, and exceed customer expectations.Leads and assists cross-functional work groups in execution of strategic sourcing projects including category analysis, market intelligence, bid preparation, bid evaluation, risk assessment, recommendations, contracting, and management of supplier performance.Develops and leads the supplier contract management process in close collaboration with legal.Responsible for ensuring processes in place to track savings and maximize negotiated pricing agreements while minimizing and reporting on maverick spend and contract compliance.Develop and maintain a supplier performance management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals, improvements, and innovation initiatives.Key leader in the development of policies and procedures to ensure a compliant supply chain including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, FCPA, Human Rights, Global Trade Compliance, and other regulatory requirements.Brings knowledge & experience and suggests change in all aspects of the supply chain and spend management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain - Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) preferred.CPSM or other supply chain certifications, preferred.15 or more years of international category management and/or strategic sourcing experience.10 years or more commercial experience with offshore oil & gas services sector.You are a born leader: You will lead a team to deliver thought leadership and accelerated growth through robust category business planningExperience in talent development and team building capabilities with strong interpersonal skills.You are a strategic guru: You thrive on thinking strategically to guide and build long term strategic category strategies which are aligned across the businessExtensive negotiation skills and understands negotiable criteria and achievable objectives.Experienced with developing, running and implementing strong Supplier Relationship Management programs across organizationsYou are a dot connector: you will work with company leadership, influential individuals, and customers to define short and long priorities and objectives specific to each category requirementsYou have a keen interest in sustainability: You will assist with creating and driving a Supply Chain Sustainability programUnderstanding of working capital, risk management, and financial metrics as pertains to sourcing economics and strategies.Drives results through leadership of cross-functional teams, project management and change management skills.You are strong communicator and presenter whom is confident to engage across all levels of the organizationStrong project management skills.
