ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Director of Cloud Strategy and Innovation to lead the cloud transformation roadmap, strategy, and architectural alignment across all ministries. This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions while ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in cloud adoption, multi-cloud strategy, and governance frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Strategy & TransformationDevelop and drive the cloud transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with Ascension’s strategic objectives.Lead application cloud strategy, including assessments and transformation planning.Establish a maturity model for cloud adoption and track progress.Define multi-cloud strategies to optimize flexibility, cost, and performance.Architecture & InnovationDesign reliable, scalable, and secure cloud solutions tailored to ministry needs.Recommend architectural patterns for performance, security, and scalability.Implement automated failover and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for critical infrastructure and applications.Guide application, infrastructure, and data teams on strategic cloud adoption initiatives.Collaboration & GovernanceAct as a liaison between cloud teams and ministries, ensuring tailored cloud services.Establish governance frameworks for cloud usage, security, and compliance.Provide advisory reports on best practices for cloud migration and optimization.Key DeliverablesCloud transformation roadmap with defined milestones.Design and architecture patterns for cloud initiatives.Whitepapers and architectural blueprints to guide cloud adoption.Reports on best practices for cloud migration and innovation.Qualifications & SkillsCloud Expertise: Strong background in Oracle, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Architecture & Security: Deep understanding of cloud governance, security frameworks, and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, etc.).Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to align cloud strategy across ministries and drive enterprise-wide adoption.Innovation Mindset: Passion for emerging cloud technologies and driving continuous improvements.RequirementsEducation:
High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.Additional PreferencesNo additional preferences.
