Health Heart and Vascular Orthopedics and Tallwood Urology KidneyPosition SummaryThe Director of Colleague Health Nursing leads the development implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures related to all colleague health clinical services and will work collaboratively with the Director of Colleague Health Operations to develop and interpret departmental short and long term goals and objectives The Director will lead nursing practice and care for colleague health analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to increase quality safety effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining compliance with all clinical policies procedures and regulationsKey AccountabilitiesDevelops and implements innovative programs and services that improve colleague and patient quality and safetyCreates an engaging and supportive environment where the Colleague Health Services team can excel at supporting colleagues across the systemContributes to a learning environment by providing educational experiences to the teamMonitors patient care and analyzes nursing care patterns and initiates quality improvement procedures to enhance patient services ensures a safe therapeutic environmentDevelops and implements clinical outcome measures for quality improvement cost and complication reduction and the implementation of evidence based medicineArticulates and uphold standards for quality and safe patient careIncorporates the use of evidence based practice into program development and improvement activitiesInitiates monitors and enforces regulatory requirementsWork where requirementsBachelorrsquos and Masters degrees are required At least one degree must be in Nursing Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of ConnecticutFive plus years of nursing clinical experience is requiredTwo plus years of leadership experience is requiredThe ability to work with diverse groups of providers clinicians nursing staff and all disciplines and appreciate their contributions to the strategic direction of the healthcare systemIntellectually facile will have the ability to be conceptually creative grasp large amounts of information quickly and articulate conclusions in a clear mannerVisible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organizationA creative forward thinking leader with the proven ability to engage coach and mentor direct reports colleagues and other key stakeholdersHighly effective analytical organizational and problem solving skills Strong
