The Director of Communications must be an energetic and dynamic leader who will be responsible for developing and implementing an overarching plan for strategic communications and marketing that supports the university’s goals and objectives. These efforts will result in shaping a coherent and consistent image for the university.The successful candidate will be an exceptional professional with a proven track record of producing high quality communications for a university or organization of comparably complexity. Demonstrable experience and evidence of producing high quality publications and presentations is required. Exceptional writing skills across multiple media platforms are required for this position.
Leads team and develops, implements, and facilitates communications strategies and outreach. Translates strategic and tactical business plans into procedures that achieve goals, visions, and branding. Creates, administers, and adheres to budget. Oversees communications and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Directing strategic and comprehensive communication, marketing and public relations program that incorporates all traditional and digital channels and media. This includes traditional media, social media, website and emerging social media channels. Managing and allocating budget and personnel to priority projects.Creating high-quality publications and presentations for internal and external audiences to include alumni, board of advisors, donors and community partners.Assessing the institutional effectiveness of existing and proposed communications strategies and media platforms; establishing defined goals, objectives and metrics for all communications activities and monitoring progress toward fulfillment.Promoting network of collaboration among offices and academic departments across campus to discover and promote relevant stories of student and community achievement within the context of the mission and vision of the university.Ensuring that the President is informed, prepared and highly productive when communicating with the campus community, general public and all press outlets.
