Job Description – Director of Community Physicians Group
Overview:
The Director of Community Physicians Group is responsible for the overall administration, strategy, and operations of physician group services. Reporting to the CEO, this role focuses on growth, optimization, and transformation of service lines to improve financial performance, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, execution, and administration of physician practice management. Lead service line development, strategy, and financial oversight to ensure strong production and growth. Engage and integrate physicians, APPs, and staff to maintain high-performing teams. Manage physician hiring, engagement, compensation, quality metrics, and patient experience. Develop business plans and financial proformas for expanding service lines. Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure alignment with overall mission, vision, and goals. Drive operational efficiency, cost containment, and high-quality patient care. Participate in budget planning, financial forecasting, and resource allocation. Mentor and develop practice managers and administrative leaders. Requirements: Master’s degree in health or business administration (preferred). Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive experience in physician practice management and healthcare operations. 7+ years of experience in a healthcare leadership role. Strong understanding of financial statements, business planning, and SWOT analysis. Preferred Qualifications: CPPS, CMPE certifications. Experience in a matrix organization and leading by influence.
