Director of Compliance and Ethics

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for reviewing and evaluating compliance issues/concerns within the organization, ensuring that all tribal, state and federal regulations about our organization are documented with procedures, are being followed, and provide guidance to senior operational leadership on the status of compliance across the business. You will report to the Senior Director of ACE.

Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000

Schedule: 60% on-site, 40% remote after initial in-office training period

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will develop procedures for the general operation of the organization and its related activities following all applicable laws, to protect the integrity of Tribal operations and assets.

2.       You will ensure the administration, implementation and enhancement of our monitoring systems and guidelines.

3.       You will review and test our compliance with applicable law; make recommendations to improve our compliance posture; and provide reporting on our compliance with applicable law.

4.       You will investigate all compliance and ethical issues of the Executive Branch. 

5.       You will develop compliance organizational strategies by contributing information and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establish functional goals following organizational goals.

6.       You will participate on appropriate leadership, and operating committees, to ensure that compliance is integrated with governmental and business operations.

7.       You will monitor and coordinate compliance activities across the organization to remain up to date with the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends including Conflict of Interest and procedures and third-party reporting system.

8.       You will assist the departments in implementing remedial action for any compliance issues noted together with the compliance monitoring and perform periodic follow-up for outstanding compliance issues and help ensure that management is rectifying any such issues.

9.       You will research and understand current marketplace issues and new regulatory requirements and guidance.

10.   Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field OR ten [10] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.

·  Demonstrated experience in the development and/or administration of compliance program elements.

·  Experience leading and managing a team of professionals; demonstrated experience in developing and leading talent

·  Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and analyze their impact on operations

·  Six [6] years of compliance /regulatory and investigation experience
