What success looks like in this role:

Job Title: Regional Ethics and Compliance Director

Location: APAC Region

Job Description:

The Regional Ethics and Compliance Director for the APAC Region will report to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and will be responsible for ensuring the company's operations in the APAC region comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key job duties include:

●     Conducting and overseeing compliance investigations for the region to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks including coordination and oversight of local POSH Committees in India for the prevention of sexual harassment.

●     Maintenance of the case management system to ensure all ethics and compliance matters in the region are properly and timely opened, tracked, and closed.

●     Management of procedures and controls designed to ensure the prompt disclosure, clearance and prevention of potential conflicts of interest for the region.

●     Development and delivery of compliance training programs designed to help mitigate key compliance risks in the region.

●     Assisting legal counsel in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training materials to prevent bribery and corruption in the region including work on third party due diligence processes, procedures and controls.

●     Partnering with other key stakeholders including internal audit to conduct both compliance and fraud risk assessments designed to identify and mitigate potential ethics, compliance and fraud risks in the region.

●     Partnering with corporate communications to plan, create, and implement compliance communications strategies and materials to ensure associates in the region are aware of their compliance responsibilities.

●     Tracking and analysis of data, metrics, and key performance indicators relating to ethics and compliance for the region.

●     Review of gift and entertainment approval requests for the region.

●     Assistance with other ethics and compliance projects and initiatives identified as beneficial to the company.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

●     Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field.

●     At least 10 years of experience in corporate ethics and compliance, with a focus on the APAC region.

●     Strong knowledge of APAC compliance laws, regulations and best practices.

●     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including both emotional and cultural intelligence and sensitivity.

●     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

●     Ability to build trust with key stakeholders throughout the region and the company overall.

●     Growth mindset – someone who relentlessly reimagines the status quo and seeks a better way in order to propel both the ethics and compliance team and the organization forward.

●     Fluency in English.

Preferred Additional Skills:

·      Fluency in another APAC language.

·      CCEP, CCEP-I or CFE Certification.

·      Comfort with public speaking.

·      A “roll up your sleeves” attitude.

·      A sense of humor.

·      A passion for making the world a better place through ethics and compliance!
