Volt is immediately hiring for a Director of Concrete, Quality and Testing in Fort Worth, TX.

As a Director of Concrete, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate testing schedule with Project Managers, Project Coordinators and ownership\r\n\tPartner with internal stakeholders to optimize workflow\r\n\tAnalyze materials and make recommendations\r\n\tPerform regular testing and record data\r\n\tIdentify, recommend, and assist with process/equipment improvements for set-ups and test methods\r\n\tCapable of executing laboratory-based investigations and development projects\r\n\tMaintain and operate physical and analytical testing equipment\r\n\tPromptly report any mechanical or calibration problems with equipment\r\n\tEnsure proper inventory management for admixtures and raw materials\r\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\r\n\tEnsure the lab remains clean, organized, and safe\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is full time, direct hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tWarehouse and Commercial Foundation experience (NO residential or road/bridge construction)\r\n\tExperience working with cement, mortar, or concrete.\r\n\tKnowledge of laboratory techniques, field techniques and test methods on cement and concrete (i.e., ASTM, AASHTO, ACI)\r\n\tUnderstanding of cement and concrete ASTMs, AASHTOs, and /or other similar test standards\r\n\tSkilled with cement and concrete testing equipment and tools\r\n\tKnowledge with analytical equipment\r\n\tAble to work in a fast-paced environment.\r\n\tAbility to remain calm in difficult situations.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
