Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is looking for a Director of Construction to join our team!   Company Overview: Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is a premier family entertainment company dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences through our dynamic venues. We specialize in high-energy attractions, dining, and immersive entertainment, creating fun-filled environments for guests of all ages. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Director of Construction to lead the development and execution of our new locations and renovations.   Position Summary:   The Director of Construction will oversee all aspects of construction projects, from concept to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in managing multiple large-scale projects, negotiating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute construction strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Oversee the planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of new builds, renovations, and facility upgrades. Manage relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Lead contract negotiations, bidding processes, and vendor selection to optimize costs and ensure project efficiency. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Monitor project progress, resolve issues proactively, and implement best practices to maintain timelines and budgets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and legal teams, to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and maintain construction budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting. Implement and oversee quality control programs to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and safety. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale commercial projects. Experience in the entertainment, hospitality, or retail industry is required. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, codes, and safety regulations. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and forecasting. Ability to travel as needed to project sites.
