Responsibilities Job Summary: The Director of Corporate Accounting will oversee the corporate accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial strategy and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Major Responsibilities/Activities: Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statement reporting packages in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other regulatory requirements Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately, including the review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Coordinate with the Assistant Controller on external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance financial integrity and operational efficiency Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support strategic initiatives. Collaborate with other departments, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, to drive the company’s financial objectives Stay updated on accounting developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree in accounting with 9-12 years of progressive accounting experience, with 4-5 years in a managerial or leadership role Government contracting experience Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner Proficient in Costpoint and Microsoft Office Suite CPA certification Ability to manage priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Self-starter and independently motivated Organized, reliable, and personable The ability to produce timely, high-quality work Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and team collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Equity, Debt, Goodwill, Intangibles, Leases under ASC 842, Intercompany, and Payroll Experience with BlackLine Experience with companies managed by private equity EEO Statement EEO Arcfield proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
