Role and Responsibilities

Samsung Electronics America is a leading innovator in the electronics and consumer goods industry, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through cutting-edge technology and strategic initiatives. We are seeking a visionary Director of D2C Strategy & Innovation to lead our direct-to-consumer (D2C) efforts, driving growth, efficiency, and innovation within our Mobile D2C operations.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and own the long-term D2C strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for growth, market expansion, and competitive differentiation.

Automation & AI Integration: Leverage automation and AI technologies to optimize D2C operations, enhance customer experiences, and streamline processes. Implement AI-driven solutions for personalized marketing, demand forecasting, and inventory management.

Fulfillment & Vendor Management: Oversee the end-to-end fulfillment process, ensuring seamless order execution and delivery. Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong partnerships.

Cost Management: Drive cost optimization initiatives across D2C operations, balancing efficiency with customer satisfaction. Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising quality or service levels.

Strategic Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance D2C capabilities, including new product launches, market entry strategies, and digital transformation projects.

Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of D2C strategies. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to continuously improve performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including global HQ, supply chain, product team(s), marketing, IT, finance, and product development, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of D2C strategies.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

12+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or a related industry, with a proven track record in D2C strategy and operations.

Expertise in automation technologies, AI applications, and data-driven decision-making.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive strategic initiatives to completion.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize costs while delivering high-quality results.
