Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Deal Desk Consultant to develop and execute deal strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market share. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing, discounting, and contract terms, accelerating deal velocity and maximizing profitability.
This role will be onsite in San Francisco and is expected to be 6 months.
Essential Duties:
• Oversee all Deals Desk operations. Through a combination of automation and standardization, scale the deal flow process for optimal deal velocity.
• Develop and implement deal desk strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to structure deals that maximize profitability and minimize risk.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and various Business Units to structure deals for new and existing business models.
• Lead the risk assessment process for all deals (new and existing customers) and ongoing risk assessment for existing customers.
• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to inform deal strategies and pricing decisions.
• Create and maintain deal desk policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
• Monitor and report on deal performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and manage a high-performing deal desk team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
• Identify and implement process improvement and transformation opportunities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Active CPA designation a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in deal desk management, sales operations, or finance.
• 8+ years with a deal structuring/contract volume focus.
• 6+ years of people leadership.
• Experience with CRM and CPQ tools, such as Salesforce and Apttus.
• Previous experience running a Deal Desk at a large ($800+ million revenue tech company).
• Experience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire change.
• Experience working in a public company SOX-compliant environment.

• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in a technology company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex deals.
• Significant process improvement and transformation experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of financial, legal, and operational risks.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $73 – 83.
