If you are a forecast and demand planning professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, Copeland’s HVACR Americas business unit, your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the VP of Sales Operations and Planning for HVACR Americas. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of this job and collaborate across the entire organization to improve business results.
AS THE DIRECTOR OF DEMAND PLANNING, YOU WILL:
Manage and continuously improve a robust, harmonized HVACR forecast and demand planning process that integrates inputs from Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain - participating in all the feeder process meetings including AC subsegments, Refrigeration subsegments, Industrial, LATAM, ME, Europe, Asia and Canada
Coordinate with forecasting and demand planning teams to provide plans to Operations and Finance
Develop a systematic approach to ensure accuracy and reliability of forecasts across all product categories
Maintain an understanding of sources of change details by segment covering Market, Participation, Price, Mix and Other changes, bridging differences between various plans and time horizons across the business
Provide suggested improvements to order, volume and revenue forecasting and demand management processes
Monitor forecast accuracy metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance
Present actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision making
Provide coaching and mentorship to forecasting and demand planning team; foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability
Lead and or support special projects including but not limited to:
Market sizing and participation tracking
Long range strategy and planning
Sales team submittal forecast improvements
Customer forecast and demand signal process improvements
Global SIOP project support
Support and development of Revenue Operations
Assisting standardization of all related HVACR processes
Other process improvements
Special report consolidation such as sources of change
Special information requests
Customer meetings
Coordination of Finance, Ops, Sales and Verticals needs
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Ten (10) years of experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Strategic Planning, Forecasting, Demand Planning related experience including five (5) years of leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of expertise
Proven track record of implementing demand planning processes and tools
Advanced knowledge of statistical forecasting methodologies and how/when to apply
Demonstrated problem solving ability in an environment with many variables
Experience analyzing data and/or process to identify issues, trends or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders
Strong visual presentation skills as related to reports, scorecards, dashboards and presentations
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Master’s degree in business administration or fifteen (15) years of relevant industry experience
