PRIMARY FUNCTION
Strengthen organizational capacity to achieve the Club’s mission through the planning and execution of resource development strategies, maintaining and expanding relationships with individual donors and corporate partners, increasing awareness of the Club’s mission and impact, and monitoring progress against goals. Working closely with the Assistant Executive Director, CEO and Board of Directors to cultivate and solicit contributions through individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. Assists and supports Club public relations and marketing efforts.
ResponsibilitiesKEY ROLES:
Work with the Assistant Executive Director, CEO & Resource Development Committee to develop and execute, a comprehensive resource development plan to bring in revenue from individual donors, corporations, foundations, government, events, and planned gifts.Work with the Assistant Executive Director and CEO in the annual budget development and implement strategies to meet and exceed budget goals, with an emphasis on individuals giving. Direct efforts to design a program to identify, cultivate, and solicit major individual, corporate and foundation prospects.Develop and effectively communicate a compelling Case for Support, Club Impact reports, and other donor engagement pieces to drive Club support.Coordinate appeal letters, thank you letters and Club information correspondence to donors and supporters.Coordinate and supervise Club fundraising events.Write grant proposals for foundation and corporate support, and manage grant portfolio to ensure timely submittal of grant applications, reports, and cultivation/engagement/recognition of corporate and foundation donors.Manage donor database to track fundraising income, compile reports, and utilize for cultivation, solicitation, and recognition of donors. Manage stewardship plan including donor recognition strategies and events. Work with the Assistant Executive Director, CEO and RD Chair to ensure consistent and meaningful RD Committee Meetings.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, regular contact with Assistant Executive Director and CEO. Maintain contact with Board of Directors, Advisory Committee members, and fundraising volunteers as directed. Maintain contact with Club staff and Club members.
External: Create and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, corporations and businesses in the community, and professional and community groups.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Five plus years of resource and business development experience in areas of donor relations, major gift solicitations, grant writing, capital and major gift campaigns.Community engagement and marketing expertise.Proven ability to raise substantial sums of money and meeting agreed upon financial targets.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control fundraising expenses.Willingness to be part of a team, work well with others, and positively represent the Club in the community. Excellent written, verbal, and technological communication skills.Excellent organizational skillsBudgeting and computer skills, including knowledge of database operations and spreadsheet software.

Hand-eye coordination is necessary to perform certain duties. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to moderate in office settings to moderate and usually loud in recreation and play settings when children are present.
