Andwell Health Partners is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Director of Development to lead philanthropy, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts.
This individual will manage fundraising programs, strengthen Andwell’s community presence, and build long-lasting partnerships in support of our mission. The ideal candidate will bring experience in development and a strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Maine.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-informed fundraising strategy, including annual campaigns, events, major gifts, planned giving, and memorial programsCultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, businesses, and municipal partnersCollaborate with the Board and Foundation Committee to drive giving initiatives and deepen community engagementLead the organization’s brand strategy and public-facing communicationsPartner with the marketing and communications team on strategic outreach and collateral developmentPlan and manage signature events and employee giving programsSupervise a team across development, communications, and administrative supportManage the donor database and reporting tools for effective tracking and analysisOversee department budgeting and coordinate financial reconciliation with the finance teamWhat You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s or professional fundraising certification preferred3–5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit communications (healthcare setting a plus)Demonstrated success building and managing donor relationshipsExcellent communication, writing, and public speaking skillsStrong knowledge of donor CRM systems, fundraising analytics, and marketing toolsExperience planning and leading community eventsValid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportationFamiliarity with the Central Maine region and its philanthropic community is strongly preferredWhat We Offer
