Time Type: Full time Department: Development All Locations: 300 Ocean Avenue – Revere Position Summary: The Director of Development will partner with the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Leadership, the Board of Directors and Development staff to create and execute a comprehensive fundraising program for NeighborHealth. The Director of Development will cultivate, solicit and engage corporations, foundations, and individual donors as well as manage fundraising events, including the annual signature cocktail reception, Art of Health Care (AOHC). Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and includes flexibility based on department needs Responsibilities + Manage and execute the organization’s individual giving program inclusive of developin g a n annual strategic fundraising plan , targeting outreach, prospecting for major donors, writing appe al letters, and partnering with the CEO , VP of Development, Senior Leadership and the B oard to secure gifts and steward long-term relationships + Cross-collaborate with the Grants and Government Affairs departments to assure alignment with grant submission s and other revenue generating projects and/or partnerships. Assist Grants with any grant or report needs especially those pertaining to grant funding secured via Development-formed relationships. Work with Government Affairs to assure strategically-aligned communications with identified project partners and prospective donors + Design, supervise and provide support for various fundraising events each year by developing program content, soliciting financial support, managing logistics and vendor relations and meeting targeted fundraising expectations for each event + Work closely with Mar keting around collateral, public relations/press and social media needs for fundraising and/or friend raising events + Collaborate with the VP of Development, CEO, S enior Leadership and B oard to expand corporate partnerships, ensuring that donors’ goals are aligned with the organization’s needs + Supervis e and motivate development team and contractors, providing leadership, direction, praise and constructive feedback + Serve as a proactive mem ber of the organization’s Managers’ team, helping to ensure alignment between and among organizational and program goals, financial realities and fundraising capacity Qualifications: + At least 7 years of experience as a multi-faceted fundraiser for a nonprofit + An experienced and creative approach to build ing, engaging and sustain ing a comprehensive development program that utilizes diverse strategies, w ell-designed materials and appeal ing activities + Ability to work in partnership with a diverse team, including the VP of Development, CEO, Board and staff to collaboratively achieve fundraising goals + Comfort with and a practic ed approach to soliciting gifts from individuals + Ability to conduct gran t research, create approach strategies and steward donor relationships and oversee donor reports and acknowledgments in a timely and accurate manner + A demonstrated commitmen t to the communities that NeighborHealth serves ( predominately low er -income , racially an d ethnically diverse families and individuals ) and a belief that diverse opinions an d perspectives produce greater health outcomes for our populations + A great sense of humor, s elf-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to work well under pressure + Excellent English written and verbal communication skills + Knowledge of and experience with fundraising databases a plus Education Requirements: + Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred or at least 10 years of experience working in management/leadership roles Pay Range + Starts at $111,280 up to $174,720 annually based on experience There’s a reason NeighborHealth (formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center) is ranked as one of the "Top Places to Work" by The Boston Globe.
