Job Summary/Description:

FOX5, KVVU TV, is looking for an experienced news leader to join the #1 news station in Las Vegas. The Director of Digital News Content is a key member of the news management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all digital audience engagement and CTV growth while ensuring the station remains at the forefront of emerging digital trends, including social media strategy. The digital and assignment desk teams report to this position.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Work with station leaders to execute long-term digital strategies, ensuring an increase in digital revenue
- Track digital analytics to gauge engagement, optimize video and SEO, and increase user sessions and page views across platforms
- Advise News Director and General Manager on long-term digital strategy and short-term digital analytics, identifying emerging trends
- Ensure a multi-platform approach for all news stories
- Act as a point person for all corporate-level digital initiatives
- Work with News Director, Assistant News Directors, and Executive Producers to identify daily news coverage and develop news content
- Manage breaking news response digitally as well as manage breaking news crews in the field
- Manage coverage plans for special coverage assignments
- Supervise and coach digital and assignment teams

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in a newsroom with a particular focus on digital content.
- Background should include, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in broadcast/digital journalism or the equivalent.
- Experience in news management is a plus
- Knowledge of AP Style and strong journalism ethics
- The ideal candidate should be familiar with: Canva, Meta, X (Twitter), Bluesky, YouTube, TikTok, Social Newsdesk, Linkinbio, Chartbeat, Taboola, Google Analytics, mobile app management, Arc CMS, ENPS, DBI, JVC streaming, OTT platforms, Outlook, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
