We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee the operations of the Engineering Department ensuring that all systems are operating to standard, all property assets are constantly maintained to the highest level and all legally mandated Life Safety operating systems/criteria are adhered to by all. Additional responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling of employees; planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all engineering activities to ensure efficient operation of department and preparation of all required reports.

Supervises all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure highest quality workmanship and productionEstablishes schedules for, and oversees performance of all preventive maintenance activitiesOversees/assists in the establishment and implementation of Life Safety and other emergency related procedures/training for all personnelEnsures maintenance of records of all maintenance/repairs performed as required by corporate policy and/or legal mandateCoordinates inspection and certification of all Life Safety systems and equipment as required by local ordinancePerforms periodic, walk through/visual inspections of all property assets to determine condition, establish maintenance priorities and highlight areas where need for improvement existsOversees/develops Engineering Department(s) operating budget(s) according to guidelines established by corporate policyEstablishes/compiles lists of future projects and priorities, for submission to Managing Director, General Managers and Corporate Office for review and approvalCoordinates preparation of annual ADA compliance checklistServes as active member of Senior Leadership Committee, and attends all meetingsOversees activities of all outside contractors performing maintenance/repair/renovation operations to facility/fixed assetsInterviews, selects, trains, appraises, coaches, counsels and disciplines departmental personnel according to Loews standardsAble to make decisions on imperfect information. 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/PlumbingSalary range for this position, based on experience, is $148,000.00 to $185,000.00.
