The Director Enterprise Resource Planning Applications is responsible for the identification and delivery of new services, to meet cross-sector Health care business requirements and will provide oversight for all ERP operational and technical processes. The main business areas supported include Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Materials Management. The Director of ERP will lead the IT ERP team with responsibilities for strategic planning, program execution, system operations, compliance support services and modernization initiatives.
The Director of ERP Applications is responsible for delivering best in class experiences for our providers, nurses, knowledge workers, and patients. This leader will be key to advancing and ensuring the success of our ERP journey. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of ERP Applications will be an essential leader in driving business Information Technology strategies that allow ARH to maintain its exceptional quality of care and to improve patient outcomes. The Director of ERP Applications will ensure high quality interactions across the system.
The Director of ERP Applications will serve as a key member of IT Governance, while serving as an advocate in promoting the use of information technology in the business setting. Partners with knowledge workers and clinicians for the design and implementation to translate requirements into specifications for new and existing business application.
Responsibilities• The Director of ERP Planning Applications is also responsible for the development of an effective planning process that aligns to the execution of an integrated operational schedule, encompassing all aspects of the ERP Program (patches, upgrades, technical fixes and automated testing) across all platforms. This position will also lead ERP change management processes working with business and senior IT leadership to incorporate an appropriate impact analysis and approval for such changes across the ERP program team.
• The Director of ERP Applications will coordinate all data transfers and exchanges required by upstream and downstream systems and will partner with other IT teams on data management strategies and execution.
• The Director of ERP Applications will be responsible for driving rationalization and automation of processes and solutions, as well as efficient use of resources across all business sectors, while maintaining service levels. The position is responsible for managing multi-million-dollar budgets and ensuring performance against that budget. This is a complex financial environment and strong financial skills are key to success in this position; the candidate must establish strong partnerships with finance and procurement.
• This position requires a broad range of experience, including customer management, service delivery, leadership of diverse teams, and the ability to employ both directive leadership style and leadership through influence.
• A successful candidate will have in depth experience creating and deploying a services lead organization and will be a change agent for services-driven culture. This includes collaboration on training, communication, standards, and validation.
• Serve as the day-to-day IT ERP Expert contact person for all areas of Meditech during installation phase and maintenance phases.
• Keep Physician and nursing community informed of all events affecting the timely installation and maintenance of clinical modules.
• Manage, supervise, and oversee all activity for the Meditech Acute, Ambulatory, Home Health, and Quality activities.
• Own, identify, assist, and resolve all opportunities arising in the clinical modules and issues that overlap the clinical departments relating to the setup and operation of the hospital information system (e.g., common mnemonic design for dictionary entries)
• Work with the clinical informatics team IT to assure that a consistent approach is followed throughout the installation.
• Manage, Test or oversee testing of all software updates/new releases for clinical modules.
• Actively involved with development of training program for end user training prior to going Live.
• Coordinating all clinical and non-clinical committees/entities involved in the IT clinical projects.
• Advocating and optimizing for physicians' and nurses needs relative to the clinical practice benefits accrued through the use of information technology.
• Establish a close working relationship with the medical staff to facilitate clinical information systems adoption.
• Lead and develop clinical protocols and documentation specifications using evidence-based medicine and Best Practices through consensus building with physicians and other clinical departments.
• Inform the leadership team of all operational events pertaining to the assigned applications and projects.
• Optimize all workflow integration by participating in, performing, and/or signing-off on all workflow analysis and future state design.

Education
• Bachler’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration Information Technology or related field.
Minimum Work Experience
• 15+ years’ experience leading a geographically dispersed ERP team, with direct experience leading strategic planning, ERP program execution, ERP program upgrades / migrations, budget management, and resource management.
• 8+ years of complex project management experience.
• Should be able to discuss, put into practice in-depth theory regarding efficient delivery of business solutions across a diverse, related portfolio of customers.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Information Technology experience/ability preferred. Must be able to communicate with clinical and business users of all disciplines.
