About the role:

Oversee all aspects of a profit and service driven catering and events sales department while personally prospecting, selling, planning and servicing corporate and social business.

To uncover, prospect and sell group business, in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan.

This role is part of catering department, reporting into Director of Marketing.  

 

What you will do:

Supervision and overall responsibility of the Events and Catering function including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication from Catering Sales Manager, Catering Sales Executive and Catering Sales Coordinator. These procedures include but are not limited to: Menu and Event Proposals, Contracts, Banquet Event Orders, Daily Events Report, and S&C Golden Input Standards.Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain corporate catering and events accounts through telephone, personal sales calls, trade shows, and on-site entertainment.Finalize the requirements of personally booked catering events while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Contract, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.Find solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property and keep Planning Committee promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.Assist with all inquiries within the sales, marketing and catering department, including assistance with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections.Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the catering and conference services weekly 3-month financial forecast, month end financial summaries and contribute to the annual Marketing Plan and Budget.Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Bi-Monthly Board of Operations and Menu Tasting.

What you bring:

Minimum7 years’ experience in related position with Four Seasons or other organizationRequires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet softwareGood knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPointHas strong interpersonal skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operationRequires basic computer skills for online trainingRequires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and Chinese languageHas the ability to anticipate and prioritize the needs of the guest proactivelyIs energetic and has a professional approach to his/her craft
