JOB SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates operational activities of the Front Casino Non-Gaming Operations to include Casino Housekeeping, Costumes, and Maintenance at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino to obtain optimum efficiency, cleanliness and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Shuttle Bus Driver(s) (NG), Facilities Manager, EVS Manager, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Uniform Lead, Uniform Clerk, Seamstress
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates activities of divisions of the Operations Department such as frontside housekeeping and maintenance, warehousing, and shuttle operations to effect operational efficiency and economy. Reviews and prepares contract updates for various company maintenance, facility, utility contracts Analyses division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget for operations. Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity and operations of all operations to determine changes in operating procedures, or policies as required. Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outline policy, program or operations changes to be implemented. Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions.
EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 50-150 employees in the Maintenance and Operations area. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
RISK MANAGEMENT:
Will manage risk factors within the company department or division employed, in such a way as to eliminate company exposure to insurance claims and legal/court challenges. Ensures that all company, department or division activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. This includes but is not limited to
adherence to Human Resource, safety and workers ’compensation policies and procedures.

Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
