Director of Finance Finger Lakes Addiction Counseling and Referral Agency Inc Newark, NY (Onsite) Full-Time $90,000 - $99,000/Year Apply Now (https://flacra.jobs.net/apply/j3w60d64lb4vjbf0tfb?ipath=CR¬ify=true&siteid=cbnsv) Job Details Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Director of Finance is responsible for oversight of the daily operations & strategic objectives of the agency’s accounting functions. This role supervises accountants, accounts payable staff and an administrative assistant and ensures timely, accurate and complete preparation and submission of monthly and annual financial statements, cost reports and budgets and interfaces directly with outside auditors. A critical function is oversight of grant billing and reporting. What We’re Looking For: + Educational Background: BA/BS in Finance or Accounting. An MBA or CPA is strongly preferred. + Experience: Proven supervisory experience in an accounting environment is required. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in computerized accounting software applications and excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. + Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, staff, and service providers at all levels. + Interpersonal Skills: A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with culturally diverse individuals and teams. + Leadership Qualities: Poise, composure, and confidence in high-pressure situations, with a track record of successful team leadership. + Onsite Position : The ability to commute to Newark, NY. Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: + Lead and supervise the accounting, accounts payable, and administrative teams to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations. + Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly and annual financial statements, cost reports, and budgets, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. + Manage grant billing and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collection. + Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and ensure the integrity of financial data. + Provide management with timely and accurate financial information, including revenue and expense reports, account receivable aging, and analytical reports to support operational decisions. + Conduct and supervise internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. + Prepare and coordinate the production of statistical and regulatory reports, such as the CFR. + Lead the financial team in maintaining accurate records of all transactions and managing outstanding grant invoices. + Contribute to the organization’s strategic objectives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
