The Director Finance will embrace the role of establishing a first-class finance organization, develop and organize finance activities and financial governance for the company, and use data to drive decisions. The Director Finance will act as a trusted business advisor and partner for the Senior and C-Suite leadership of the Company. The individual must be self-motivated, have strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify key financial trends, and be a strategic thinker. In addition, the individual must be able to work collaboratively with other operations and SG&A departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. This role is an onsite role based out of Livonia, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) complianceMinimum 12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least seven years of experience managing a finance team, including financial planning and analysis responsibilities.Ability to think critically and develop sound financial strategies aligned with Company goals.Adaptability to work in both manual and automated financial systems.Participatory management skills, with proven ability to hire, coach, and lead personnel.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Well-organized with demonstrated success in driving innovation.Ability to collaborate and cultivate successful relationships across different organizations.Can easily transition between detail and higher-level analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt to and drive change, handle multiple priorities, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.Basic understanding of accounting principles.Must be willing to travel up to 10% as needed.Preferred Skills:
