Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Westminster Communities of Florida is hiring for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.  This position is located in Orlando, FL, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.  In this role, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support Westminster Communities’ strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage technology to drive efficiency, financial performance, and provide actionable insights to support our mission.

This position is responsible for:

Strategic Financial Planning:

Develop and oversee annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts. Provide scenario analysis and predictive modeling using advanced tools like PowerBI, Prophix or similar platforms. Build and maintain financial models to project company financials under various scenarios. Use models to analyze potential business opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Data-Driven Analysis:

Utilize data visualization tools to present financial data in clear, actionable formats for executive leadership. Leverage financial software and data analytics tools to streamline reporting, enhance decision making, and improve operational efficiency. Serve as power-user for FP&A financial system.

Performance Management:

Develop and present comprehensive financial reporting packages for senior management, including variance analysis, analysis of revenue and cost drivers, key performance indicators (KPIs), and ad hoc financial models. Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies. Continuously identify opportunities to improve and build upon financial processes and reporting to drive strategic insights and support decision making. Uses in-depth knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills to strategize and resolve non-routine issues.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead a small FP&A team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with corporate and community level leadership teams to align financial strategies with organization specific goals. Develop strong partnerships with business leaders to understand key operational insights into performance. Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to key leadership team members and other stakeholders.

Qualifications you possess:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in leveraging financial technologies to drive business outcomes. Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning. Experience in senior living, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors is a plus. Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for process improvement. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights for non-financial stakeholders. Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and technology adoption. Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for leadership.
