Director of Financial Technology

The Director of Financial Technology Transformation will lead the successful implementation and evolution of finance and accounting systems throughout the enterprise.  This role demands a deep understanding of best practices in business processes integrated with financial systems, and a proven track record of deploying new technologies in dynamic and diverse environments.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Lead the replacement of a legacy financial system with a modern ERP/Financial Management system technology, managing the project from start to finish.

Provide comprehensive project management and oversight, including development of project plans, schedules, task management, resource planning, and status communication to stakeholders and Senior Management.

Lead ongoing transformational initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts across the business.

Oversee and manage documentation of business requirements, functional requirements/specifications, interface requirements, data conversion requirements, implementation requirements, use cases, scope changes, and design documentation.

Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the implementation of financial technology solutions.

Identify enhancements to streamline business processes and improve internal controls.

Assign and delegate work assignments to project team members, motivating staff and ensuring focus on quality, timeliness, and scope.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software or systems engineering, accounting, business, or other technology-related fields preferred.

7+ years project management experience, with demonstrated ability to effectively direct, coordinate, and follow up with team members to ensure timely completion of project deliverables through all phases of a project life cycle.

PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Valid Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and managing stakeholder satisfaction.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, presentation, and planning skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously when faced with tight deadlines.

Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts and principles

Experience managing, supporting, developing, and/or analyzing ERP or related applications.

Experience with ERP system, system configuration, and/or best practices.

Knowledge of project management best practices and experience in project management methodologies as well as application development and deployment.

Commitment to improving internal practices.

Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
