The Elms Hotel & Spa, a prestigious and historic destination renowned for its timeless elegance, exceptional service, and luxurious atmosphere, is seeking an accomplished Director of Food & Beverage to lead its culinary and service operations. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to uphold and enhance the legacy of excellence that defines The Elms experience.
Position OverviewThe Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for achieving departmental goals related to profitability, service quality, and guest satisfaction. This includes strategic planning, budget management, and the execution of marketing initiatives designed to elevate dining experiences across the property. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for hospitality, a commitment to excellence, and a proven ability to inspire teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to all front- and back-of-house Food & Beverage operations.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, marketing plans, and financial objectives to achieve performance goals.
Participate as a member of the Hotel Executive Committee, contributing to the overall success of the property.
Implement and maintain effective sales, marketing, and guest engagement programs for all F&B outlets.
Lead, mentor, and empower department managers and staff through coaching, performance reviews, and professional development.
Oversee payroll, inventory, reporting, forecasting, and financial controls to ensure operational efficiency.
Coordinate with other hotel departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain exceptional satisfaction levels.
Uphold brand and health department standards through daily inspections and rigorous quality control.
Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and accountability aligned with The Elms’ standards of excellence.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience, ideally within a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale dining environment.
Demonstrated success managing multi-outlet operations and large, diverse teams.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of current culinary trends, fine wine, and beverage programming.
Proven ability to create memorable, guest-centric dining experiences.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $85,000.00/Yr. - $100,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
