The Director of Global Accounts, Americas for the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine (AD&M) Business Unit will collaborate with the VP of Global Sales and Marketing to drive the Go-to-Market growth strategy and accelerate revenue growth across the Americas, aiming to outperform market trends.

 

This leader will oversee both direct and indirect sales, with a strong emphasis on expanding market share across the product portfolio. They will lead a team of account and sales managers focused on driving business growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role requires deep expertise in the Aerospace & Defense industry, a strong understanding of the customer landscape, electronic distribution, and the competitive market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•    Develop and lead the Americas Go-To-Market strategy for Commercial Air, including direct sales and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers.
•    Drive strategic customer growth by aligning with product management on market share expansion and new product development initiatives.
•    Establish and execute key account growth strategies, impacting the entire global customer supply network.
•    Implement initiatives to enhance customer service performance and improve scorecard metrics.
•    Lead the sales team to exceed revenue, market share, profitability, and customer experience targets.
•    Optimize sales coverage models to align with strategy, ensuring effective resource utilization and revenue maximization.
•    Build and develop a high-performing sales team to execute the go-to-market strategy effectively.
•    Cultivate executive-level customer relationships, showcase TE’s capabilities, and translate customer insights into actionable account and regional strategies.
•    Support business development efforts, including account planning and Tier 1, 2, and 3 strategy execution.
•    Lead cross-functional collaboration to negotiate customer contracts aligned with TE’s business objectives.
 

What your background should look like:

•    10+ years of sales management and leadership experience.
•    Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
•    Proven ability to attract, build, and develop high-performing sales teams.
•    Strong business, commercial, and technical acumen.
•    Expertise in developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
•    Experience in demand planning and sales operations.
•    Ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining vision and strategic direction.
•    Track record of exceeding sales targets and outperforming market growth.
•    Strategic thinker with a visionary mindset.
•    Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships across a global, cross-functional organization.
•    Analytical problem-solver with a results-driven approach.
•    High sense of urgency and a strong bias for action.
•    Proficiency in Salesforce.com, MS Office, SAP, and other relevant systems.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $181,400 – 272,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
