Position SummaryThe Director of Global Marketing, Anesthesia will lead a team to develop and implement global commercial strategies and tactics across airway & pain management, urology and respiratory products. This role will have an emphasis on portfolio lifecycle management, global core range alignment, strategic manufacturing partnership, new product development and contracting.
Principal Responsibilities• Lead assigned AEM segment portfolio strategy and roadmap, incorporating innovation strategy to address current and anticipated unmet market needs and opportunities.
• Create and use logical systematic processes to understand, analyze and prioritize customer needs.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of key market/customer trends and competitor strategies, and be knowledgeable of market forces or business drivers that may influence the development of future market trends.
• Participtate with and manage innovation teams to fuel the pipeline of new products.
• Build performance based relationships with key customers, R&D, marketing, Clinical Medical Affairs (CMA) and others to define marketing level product and service requirements, including business value and prioritization of potential features and benefits.
• Culivate and manage strong clinical relationships.
• Oversee the development of the strategic plans for market launches, sales product training, messaging, pricing and positioning.
• Demonstrates a growth mindset to continually seek out, investigate and assess growth opportunities for the organization, including possible acquisitions.
• Assesses and prioritize global market potential, and devise global marketing strategies to fuel demand generation and increase win rate.
• Establish global marketing metrics to ensure strategies, programs and activities are executed effectively and efficiently within the regions and markets.
• Interact with Corporate Development and business unit leadership to identify opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, mergers/acquisitions; identify growth opportunities in current and adjancent markets.
• Build high performance people and teams. Lead, mentor, coach, guide and challenge the team to achieve improved performance and annual objectives consistent with those set by the Corporation.
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, MBA preferred. Baccalaureate degrees in health science and biomedical engineering are a plus, with 7 to 10 years of Sales and Marketing Medical Device experience
• At least 3 years experience of working with commodity markets with GPOs/IDNs, driving effiiencies through various strategies such as core range and sku tail reduction
• Demonstrated people management achieving objectives and growing other leaders
• Emergency medicine vascular access/hemostat commercial experience
• Excellent P&L awareness; clear ability to adapt & apply solutions to impact profitability
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel, Word, and PPT
· Ability to interpret and analyze sales and marketing plans to develop appropriate strategies and tactics, particularly in health care settings using medical devices
· Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment from concept through development, review and timely implementation required
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Ability to formulate and manage budgets and forecasts
· Excels at building strong relationships both internally in a heavily matrixed environment, and externally across diverse partnerships
· Superior oral / written communication and presentation skills
· Ability to work within the constraints of a regulated industry while achieving business objectives
· Understanding of products, their use environments and audiences
· Understanding of overall healthcare environment/landscape
· Ability to make timely, strategic decisions in an ambiguous, face-paced environment
· Solid business acumen
· Experience with successful product and brand launches
