Director of Graduate Admissions
Description: The Director of Graduate Admissions is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the graduate admissions process. The Director ensures that the admissions policies and procedures are aligned with the university’s mission and strategic goals. The Director collaborates with academic departments, oversees the admissions staff, and plays a critical role in shaping the composition and quality of the graduate student body. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is a public, land-grant doctoral research institution located in Greensboro, NC. The university is a member of the University of North Carolina system. The Graduate College coordinates and administers advanced programs and course offerings leading to doctoral, master’s, and certificate programs in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences; College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences; College of Business and Economics; College of Education; College of Health and Human Sciences; College of Science and Technology; College of Engineering; and the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. Degrees offered include PhD, DNP , MA, MAEd, MAT , MBA , MS, MSA , and MSW . Requirements: + Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field. + At least five years of experience in graduate admissions or a related area within higher education. + Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and policy development. + Proven leadership and supervisory skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: + Doctoral degree in a relevant field. + Experience with data analysis and reporting. + Familiarity with Banner, Slate, or other university information systems.
