What you will be doing 

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices.

Main responsibilities 

Labor Management Systems (LMS): 

Develop and implement a dynamic LMS tailored to specific operational needs, ensuring accurate measurement and optimization of workforce productivity.  Create easily accessible and understandable reporting connected to the LMS 

Engineered Labor Standards (ELS): 

Establish and maintain precise engineered labor standards for various tasks and processes within the supply chain, leveraging data-driven analysis and time-motion studies.  Regularly review and update labor standards to reflect process improvements and changes in operational requirements.  Deploy Pre-determined Time and Motion System (PTMS) analysis with world-class documentation and change controls 

Continuous Improvement (CI): 

Champion a CI culture throughout the organization, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.  Lead and support Lean Six Sigma projects to drive process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings. 

Team Management: 

Provide visionary leadership to the Industrial Engineering team, fostering a positive and results-driven work environment.  Set clear goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to maximize team performance and professional growth.  Train, guide, and develop Industrial Engineers and Managers  Build a culture that lives our values and drives CI 

Data Analysis and Reporting: 

Analyze performance data, labor metrics, and key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.  Present findings and actionable recommendations to senior management and stakeholders regularly. 

Collaborative Partnerships: 

Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Operations, Transportation, and Finance, to align LM strategies with overall business objectives. 

Industry Best Practices: 

Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to labor management and industrial engineering.  Introduce innovative solutions and advancements to maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Experience & Expertise 

Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering, preferred MBA or Masters in IE Management   5+ years of process improvement or Six Sigma leadership experience preferable in a retail or CPG environment.  Proven expertise at leading successful teams located across multiple states.  Expert at providing direction and successfully driving results in a complex, multi-state organization by motivating, leading and influencing internal and external stakeholders.  Expert in using MTM and MOST methodology as well as activity-based costing and compensation programs.  Expertise in Financial acumen with focus on delivering P&L results and detailed data analysis.  Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and building relationships with local and international (IBT) union representation.  Strong ability to execute with speed and agility to achieve established goals.  Experience using computerized warehouse management and transportation management systems.
