Apply today to our Director of Infection Prevention and be a part of the innovation of ideas. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Director of Infection Prevention ensures high quality, patient-centered care by coordinating the hospital-wide Infection Control Program, which includes surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial infections, education of staff, and the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet regulatory requirements. In collaboration with the Infection Prevention (IP) Committee, the Director of Infection Prevention makes decisions relative to the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections and blood-borne pathogens. The Director of Infection Prevention develops and maintains policies and procedures that support successful quality/patient safety outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients, identification of areas of opportunity, and coordination and execution of regulatory compliance programs in accordance with federal, state and local agencies. What qualifications you will need: + Bachelor’s Degree in Health Related Field, required + Master's Degree in Health Related Field, preferred + 3+ years experience in a clinical setting or related professional field, required + 2+ years experience in a leadership role, preferred + 3+ years experience in Infection Control, required + Certification in Infection Control or aquired within 12 months after hire + Basic Life Support (BLS), preferred HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is 467-bed hospital.
