Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks one Director of Intake (JP# 005-2025) for its Program Wide Branch Offices.

LSLA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit law firm and its mission is to protect and advance the civil rights of low-income Texans by providing advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensure equal access to justice.

Job Summary

Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) is in the process of reviewing and updating its Intake Practices and Standards and seeks a Director of Intake to be responsible for LSLA’s overall intake system. This position requires familiarity with the delivery of legal services and poverty law. The ability to relate to our client community, the local private bar, other legal aid providers, and staff.

Summary of Responsibilities

Develop, organize, and oversee LSLA’s intake system, practices, and standards. Maintain systems and procedures related to intake. Assist branch or unit offices in the development and supervision of intake systems and procedures. Provide orientation and training of staff conducting intakes. Coordinate activities between all legal aid providers in our service area and Texas, local bar associations, state bar associations, Texas Lawyers Care, LSLA branch offices and units related to intake and referrals. Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director and Chief Executive Officer.
