Director of IT Development

Position Overview:

The Transformation IT Development Lead will be responsible for the delivery of development, maintenance, and enhancements across the transformation program IT platforms. This leader will drive the solution delivery to support new transformational business requirements, utilizing industry standard development methodologies and considering change impacts. This role will be a driving force in the implementation and delivery of core applications while being accountable to meeting both internal and external customer requirements with efficient solutions that do not compromise quality. This person will also be involved in the development and delivery of HomeServe USA’s future systems footprint across focus areas of CRM, CPQ, Campaign, Data, Field Service and Billing technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

Technical Guidance and Solution Design

Review and ensure solutions across platforms adhere to architectural and code guidelines, standards and best practices Identify impacts to operations of legacy applications and integration processes within the organization and to our business partners Identify technical delivery and user metrics to improve the quality of services for our users Oversee and provide guidance during system integration testing and releases, ensuring successful deployment with minimal disruption to production environments Identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks within the application development & delivery processes and develop mitigation strategies, escalating as necessary Participate in the architecture, documentation, design of the future application roadmap Identify opportunities for technological advancements and optimization across the enterprise, integrating them into the technical architecture and processes

People Leadership and Collaboration

Provide day-to-day oversight of transformation technical delivery teams as well as the contracted resources supporting the overall delivery Provide technical direction and leadership to the workstream Technical Delivery leads, including decisions on architecture and design Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects to design scalable, robust and cost-effective technical solutions that meet business requirements Collaborate with a Business and Technical Leadership Center of Excellence (COE) to determine areas of overlap, dependency, or conflict when considering end-end technical design that may cover multiple scope areas Work with business users and IT staff to troubleshoot difficult operational, data and exceptions issues Support performance management of all outsourced IT Application providers and vendors to ensure optimal quality and cost effectiveness

Technical Documentation Management

Review technical documentation, including technical design documents, system architecture diagrams, compliance and performance metrics and operating procedures Ensure documentation is kept up to date, reflecting the latest system changes or updates Support delivery of transformation projects using appropriate best-of-breed project management methodologies

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Compter Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. 10+ years of Information Technology experience required, including managing development resources, large scale systems implementations, and maintenance of large-scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms; 7+ years managing teams supporting applications Architecture certifications such as TOGAF are an asset, Agile certifications (SAFe, Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master) preferred

Required Skills

Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks Prior experience with systems development methodologies such as Prince II, Agile, etc. Experience with common Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub) Knowledge of automated testing solutions Knowledge of applications across areas such as CRM, CPQ, Campaign, Data, Field Service and Billing Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment

Salary Range: $153,749.12 - $204,998.84

Annual Bonus Potential: 20%
